    Note:
Origin: According to BNM. Possibly made by Tertiaries of St. Gertrudis in Hoorn.
Script: One female scribe (daughter of Gerijt Borwetzoen and Pieternell; see obituary notes in the same hand below), writing devotional texts in Dutch for personal use. Note the supplication in "Een goet ghebet van sinte barbara (f. 133r-v): "God [...] verleen mi dijnre deernen door hoor wairheit te verwinnen die behendighe scalcheit des ouden viants".
Date: Obituary notes (f. 133v): "Int jaer ons heren Mcccc ende lxv op sinte barbaren dach starf gerijt borwetzoen minen lieven vader / Int jaer ons heren Mcccc ende lxix daechs na alre zielen dach starf pieternell gerijt borwet zoen mijn lieve moeder / Int jaer ons heren Mcccc ende lxiiii starf gelijs gerijt zoen mijn lieve broeder. bidt voor hoor alre zielen". The first note (dated 1465) is written in the same dark ink as the preceding prayers, the two following notes (1469 and 1464) in lighter ink and must have been added later. Therefore the manuscript was probably created between 1465 and 1469.
Illustration: Full-page miniature of the Annunciation (f. 14v).
    Collation: In quarto.
Binding: Medieval binding, contemporary. - Leather (brown, blind-tooled) over wooden boards with bevelled edges. Decorated with panel stamps with the mystic lamb. Two clasp fastenings (closing back to front, full-metal). Painted edges (red). - Bookblock resewn, spine renewed.
