Summary: Four separate volumes containing a variety of texts of the late twelfth and thirteenth centuries have been bound together as CCCC MS 470. The contents includes a Kalendar of Norwich Cathedral Priory, an Office of the Virgin, litany and prayers of uncertain use, Hildebert of Lavardin (1056-1133), De mysterio missae, Lawrence of Durham OSB (d. 1154), Hypognosticon (a work on salvation history covering both the Old and New Testaments), and Osbert of Bawdsey (fl. mid-twelfth century), De expugnatione Lysbonensi, the account of the expulsion of the Muslim garrison from Lisbon in 1147. The book has the press mark of Norwich Cathedral Priory and must have been part of its library.
