- Description
-
- Manuscript waste binding. German (Passau?), 17th or 18th century. Pigskin over paper boards covered with parchment sheets from a 13th/14thcentury German missal, with musical notation. A German binder was able to reuse waste material from a liturgical manuscript rendered useless by the Reformation.
