Contents: This manuscript contains a chronicle written by Ado of
Vienne (d. 874), archbishop of Vienne, focusing on the
relationships between Frankish kings and Bavarians. It also
includes lists of emperors and dukes of Normandy in addition to a
genealogy of Frankish kings. This manuscript may have been the
exemplar of Cambridge, Corpus Christi College MS 290 containing
Ado's Chronicle, according to Ker, Medieval Libraries of Great
Britain (1964). ff. 1v-94v: Ado of Vienne, Chronicon sive
Breviarium de sex mundi aetatibus, beginning: 'Incipit Chronicon
Odonis Abbatis. Breves temporum per generationes et regna', ending:
'adversa primum molestatus et de honestatus iniuria moritur'. ff.
94v-96r: A list of Roman emperors from West and East, from Augustus
(reigned from 27 BC to 14 AD) to Constantine V (reigned from 741 to
775).ff. 96r-v: A list of dukes of Normandy, from Rollo (d. c. 930)
to Richard III of Normandy (d. 1028), including entries relating to
the founding of Mont Saint-Michel Abbey and Suppo, abbot of the
abbey. ff. 97r-100r: Genealogia regum Francorum (Genealogy of
Frankish kings), beginning: 'Ex genealogia Priami fuit Merovicus
pater Childerici qui genuit'. Decoration:One large initial in red
and green with foliate motifs (f. 1v). Smaller plain initials in
red or green. Capitals marked in yellow.
