Hours of the Cross (short version). - (ff. 81v-99v) Seven
penitential psalms with a litany. - Empty: ff. 73v-74r, 80v-81r,

Part 3 contains: (ff. 101r-102v) Prayer to the name of Jesus /
Vincent Ferrer. - (ff. 102r-105r) Prayer: "In praesenta corporis et
sanguinis tui" / Vincent Ferrer. - Empty: ff. 105v-111v. Note:
Origin: (part 3) probably written in Haarlem: there is a mark of
ownership from an inhabitant of Haarlem in the same hand as the
text. According to the Western manuscripts working catalogue the
manuscript was made in Leiden (however, without explanation).
Illumination: Contains blue historiated initials: (f. 24r) Madonna
on crescent moon. - (f. 74r) St. Veronica with veil. - (f. 82r)
King David. - Contains two (inserted) miniatures: (f. 74v)
Crucifixion. - (f. 81v) Last Judgment. - The folios with
historiated initials and miniatures have border decoration (blue
acanthus leaves with flowers, fruits, green leaves, birds,
butterflies and a monkey.
Binding: Post-medieval binding.
Textual: (ff. 7r-10r) Incipit: "Die heilige lerer beda scrivet een
mensche die die seven woerden die onse here sprac anden cruce leset
alle daghen...". On f. 10v a note: "int jaer ons heren dusent
vijfhondert ende xviii doe sterf heil jans dochter sonnen daes voer
sinte aerns dach". - (ff. 24r-73v) Translation/adaptation of Geert
Grote, only the last part (ff. 71v-73v) deviates. - (ff. 75r-80r)

(ff. 98v-99v) deviates. - (ff. 101r-105r) Contains an unidentified
prayer and a prayer that is recommended on the authority of St.

identifies the prayers as Dutch translations of a prayers of
Vincent Ferrer. - (ff. 101r-102v) Incipit: "O goede Ihesu, O
aldergoedertirenste Ihesu...". - (ff. 103r-105r) Incipit: "In die
tegenwoerdicheit dijns heiligen lichaems ende dijne heilighen
bloets...".
