Description
  • Summary:
Manuscript 184 contains a copy of the Textus Sententiarum by Peter Lombard (c. 1095 - c.1160) from the last quarter of the twelfth century. Peter Lombard summarizes the Christian doctrine of the faith. He uses sources such as the Bible, methodology by contemporaries, and works by fathers of the church for his work. The manuscript was gifted to Ter Doest Abbey by Hugo Ursus (12th century - ). The text is written in a textualis currens and a textualis libraria. The beginning of book three (Folio 125v - 126r) has a historiated initial C. Inside the initial C a figure is holding a jug on a blue background with groups of three white dots.
