Autograph letter, signed, describing French naval operations off
the cost of New England. The letter is dated "le 24 aout 1780" at
the top of the first page, and addressed to Ternay at the bottom of
the first page. The letter is signed by Bouille on the third page;
his signature is followed by three lines of a postscript that
