Binding:
Modern brown leather binding. The binding is larger in size than the original folios. When rebinding the manuscript six flyleaves were added on each side. In addition the original binding was kept (counted as flyleaves in the measures): this is a softcover made of a large folded folio.
Acquisition:
Acquired by Enriqueta Rylands in 1901 from James Lindsay, 26th Earl of Crawford of Haigh Hall and later bequeathed to the The John Rylands Library.
Layout:
Long line with 7 written lines. Visible dry stylus ruling.
Collation:
Diagonal catchwords at the bottom of side b of each folio.

Abstract:
Originating from the Jewish community of Henan, China, this manuscript contains a section from the Hebrew Bible, i.e. Deuteronomy 1-3:22. One folio with verses 1:33-1:39 is missing.
Foliation:
Modern pencil foliation in Arabic numerals at the top centre of side a of each folio. Pagination in Hebrew letters at the top inner corner (twice 1-21). One folio missing between folios 7 and 8.
