Description
  • Al-Khuwārizmī is famous for introducing the Indian numerals and method of numeration by position into the Islamic world. His other contribution was to algebra (Arabic al-jabr), which came to Europe through the 12th century CE Latin translation of his book. The manuscript shows geometrical solutions to two quadratic equations: right x2 + 21=10x; left x2 = 3x + 4.
