  • A manuscript which once belonged to Petrarch who possessed three copies of this text. This copy is the one most heavily annotated by him.
    Provenance: Given to Exeter College by C.W. Boase (Fellow) in or after 1868; previous owners: Petrarch (1304-1374), the Visconti Library (listed in inventories 1426 and 1459), Lodovico Ricchieri (1469-1525); Jean Grolier (d.1565); H[enry] Drury, Harrow (name on fol. 1r), Thomas Thorpe (bought at Henry Drury's sale in 1827).
