- Description
-
MS Gg.1.1 is a Trilingual compendium of texts put together in the early fourteenth century. It contains literary, historical, grammatical, scientific, astronomical, theological, pastoral and devotional texts and is predominantly written in Anglo-Norman but also contains Middle English and Latin. As the French scholar Paul Meyer commented in 1886, 'Ce livre est à lui seul toute une bibliothèque'.
