William Herschel writes to fellow astronomer Edward Pigott,
congratulating him on finding additional periodic stars. He has
observed the two Pigott pointed out, and hopes to note their
changes. The weather has been bad, so his observations have not
been very useful. He sends Pigott his two first catalogs of stars,
as well as a small packet he hopes Pigott can deliver to his
brother, Alexander Herschel. Biographical Note:
William Herschel was an English astronomer. He discovered Uranus in
