Incipit Prologus. Dum beatissimi atque apostolici Gregorii pontificis nostri'; beginning of the text (f. 2v): 'Virtutes angelice que in divino amore'; every chapters is preceded by a prologue. Part 1 (ff. 2v-116v) ends: 'Quod eius erga proximum caritas contradicat. Explicit de libro Salomonis'; it is followed by an homily (ff. 117r-v) by Ambrosiaster, beginning: 'Dignum est fratres et congruum ut gaudia nostra'; followed by an extract from the Song of Solomon (from the Song of Songs) (ff. 117v-118v), beginning: ''Osculetur me osculo oris sui'; the part 3 of Paterius's Liber testimoniorum veteris testamenti preceded by capitula (ff. 118v-119r) , beginning imperfectly, where chapter 1 is lacking (f. 119r): 'Homines inquit tunc esse incipiunt'; includes Bruno Monachus's supplement to the Liber testimoniorum (ff. 177r-178v). Decoration:One large zoomorphic initial in colours on a blue ground with display script (f. 2v). Initials in light brown, red or green with foliate decoration in one or more of these colours at the beginning of each book, one with blue (f. 1r) and one with black dots (f. 67r). Numerous initials in blue, green, red, or light brown. Rubrics and numbers in red.Quire signatures in the form of Roman numerals at the end of each quire.Textually and physically, the manuscript resembles the slightly earlier manuscript from Salisbury, Salisbury MS 76.
