- Description

Summary: CCCC MS 409 contains a copy of De finibus bonorum et malorum of M. Tullius Cicero (106-43 B.C.). This copy of De finibus, Cicero's critique of Epicureanism, Stoicism, and the 'Academy' of Antiochus of Ascalon, was produced in Italy in the fifteenth century and is a good example of Italian humanist script. It was probably the script as much as the contents that interested Parker.
