Description
  • Summary: CCCC MS 248 is a sixteenth-century miscellany of ancient Greek texts popular in the Renaissance, including Homerocentones, Hesiod, Cebes, Theognis, pseudo-Pythagoras and Phocylides, copied from printed editions. It also contains a Latin translation of the life of St Nicholas of Myra. It was presented to Daniel Rogers (c. 1539-91) by Joannes Olivarius, who may himself have been the scribe, in 1564.
