    Sixteenth-century[?] full limp parchment; Yapp edges; sewing supports visible at joints; remains of parchment ties on front and rear covers; direct-lettered in early MS upwards on spine: Lettionj di Gio bat[??]; direct-lettered in MS across head of spine in [later?], smaller script: Gelli sopra / Dante / e Petrarca; remains of paper label at foot of spine; direct-lettered in later MS on lower fore-edge: G.A.S.; some manuscript waste in Latin visible at front hinge.

    Part of the Lloyd Roberts collection, bequeathed to the John Rylands Library by David Lloyd Roberts in 1920
