Description
  • Text: start of Temporale. Historiated initial 'F([ratr]es)' with St. Paul, in profile, holding sword and book. Smaller decorated initials with penwork flourishing. In lower margin: shield, now overpainted with an 'HIS' monogram of S. Bernardino, acanthus leaf on either side. Original shield appears to have been flanked by two letters in gold and perhaps topped by a third, all now erased. Size of folios: c. 144 x 99 mm.
    Manuscript signed and dated by Dionisius de Castello, priest of S. Giovanni in Conca, Milan, 1464-5.
