Summary:
This manuscript is a copy of the Gospel of Matthew from the twelfth
century (c. 1180 - 1190). Manuscript 61 contains glosses and two
prologues. The Gospel text is placed in the middle column. The
glosses are written on three levels: between the lines of the text,
in two columns on either side of the Gospel text, and in the
margins next to the columns. The manuscript was donated to Ter
Doest Abbey by Johannes Iodemare in c. 1257. The parchment
flyleaves (at the front and in the back) originate from a tenth
century sermon book. The book opens with an illuminated historiated
initial L(iber) in a crimson frame with a double border. [Summary
