- Description
-
- Nearly cursive humanistic script. Written by a scribe who specialized in Petrarch’s poems. Among other manuscripts, he also copied MS. Montagu e. 1. The circular title page is of a type commonly found in expensive Florentine manuscripts of c. 1470. The flower borders (unfortunately damaged) are typical of late 15th-century Florentine manuscripts. Illumination related to the style of Francesco d'Antonio del Cherico. Average folio-size: 145 x 80mm.
