Summary:
Manuscript 361 contains the Decretales Bonifacci VIII. It was
ordered by Pope Boniface VIII (1235 - 1303) as an addition to the
codex of canon law Decretales Gregorii IX by Pope Gregory IX. As a
supplement to those five books, the Decretales Bonifacci VIII was
called Liber sextus decretalium. The manuscript dates back to the
fourteenth century. Dune crosses indicate that it was part of the
Ter Doest and Ten Duinen merged libraries. Three canon lawyers were
tasked to conduct the work: Guillaume of Mandagout (d. 1321),
Bérenger Frédol (c. 1250 - 1323), Richardus Petronius of Senis
(c. 1250-1314). Johannes Andreae (c. 1270 - 1348) wrote the
accompanying Glossa ordinaria. [Summary by Sarah Vanroye] Title:
