Dutch translation of a Latin adaptation/compilation of
Pseudo-Bonaventure's Meditationes vitae Christi and Ludolph of
Saxony's Vita Christi, known in studies of Middle Dutch literary
history as: "Het Pseudo-Bonaventura-Ludolfiaanse Leven van Jezus".
Prologue, epilogue and table of contents are missing. Note:
Origin: (Holland, possibly the Great Beguinage in Haarlem) based on
the style of the decoration (see Byvanck database).
Date: Based on colophon: (f. 195r) "Ghescreven int jaer ons heren
Mc°c°c°c° ende ix. op des heilichs cruus avont alst verheven
wart."
Foliation: Contemporary.
Binding: Post-medieval binding. - Parchment over pasteboard. With
coat of arms stamped in gold.
