Several missing leaves of the oldest part (first quarter 9th
century) were replaced in the 13th century, except for a missing
leaf after f. 57 (now ff. 1-2, 52-152). In the late 13th or early
14th century a new part (now ff. 3-51) was added. Some other texts
were added on empty pages (ff. 2v, 53v) or inserted on new leaves
(ff. 156-161, 162-163).

Script: The oldest part written by one scribe; the later parts by
at least twelve scribes.
Transferred from the Oriental manuscripts before 1852 (mentioned in
Geel 1852). Former shelfmark: Or. 182.
Binding: Post-medieval binding (18th century).
Textual: Ptolemy included astronomical tables in his Syntaxis, but
republished them with an introduction in a second work, the 'Handy
tables' (gr. Procheiroi kanones, lat. tabulae manuales). Theon of
Alexandria wrote a 'Great commentary' on those tables (5 books;
extant: books 1-3 and beginning of 4), and a 'Little commentary' (1
book; extant).
