This composite manuscript contains a large number of Thomas Becket
(d. 1170)'s Epistulae (Letters), the 5th-century play Querolus (The
Complainer), and two compilations of theological works and hymns.
Contents: ff. 1r-47v: Thomas Becket, Epistolae. One folio is
missing between ff. 8-9, causing the loss of the the end of letter
no. 6, Super prudentia (Duggan, The Correspondence of Thomas Becket
(2000), no. 77; text lost: 'sicut scitur ab omnibussuper iniuria et
contemptu domini pape et nostri. Valete.'), the whole of
Expectavimus (Becket Correspondence, no. 86 = Bodl. A, no. 11) and
the beginning of Expectabam (Becket Correspondence, no. 39 = Bodl.
A, no. 12; text lost: 'Thomas Dei gratia per dispendium ecclesie
itur in ruinam.'). f. 49r: Hymns with marginal glosses, beginning:
‘Adonai summe Deus te clementem precor reus’.ff. 49v-71v: A
compilation of various theological texts, introduced by rubricated
headings, and beginning: ‘Deus universitatis conditor’. ff.
72r-86v: Querolus (The Complainer) also known as Aulularia (The
Little Pot), a comedy composed in the 5th century and inspired by
Aulularia by the Roman playwright Plautus (d. 185 BC), with
glosses. The play was attributed to Plautus in the Middle Ages. ff.
86v-100v: A compilation of theological works.[ff. [47a]r, [47a]v,
