    BSB-Provenienz: Aufgrund orthographischer Besonderheiten in Italien entstanden; wahrscheinlich von Bischof Meginward (1078-1098), der Kaiser Heinrich IV 1090 dorthin begleitete und sich 1093 in Pavia aufhielt, nach Freising gebracht Zahlreiche meist reichs- und kirchenpolitische Randeinträge von Bischof Johannes Grünwalder (15 Jh, 3rb 18va), im Nachsatz zur verbindlichen Ausgabe aus Unkenntnis ihres Urhebers beiläufig als "notulas nullius pretii" bezeichnet (S 731) Ausführliche Notiz zur jüngeren Geschiche der Hs von F Boll (um 1900, im Vorderdeckel) Freisinger Provenienz durch Nachweis im Katalog von 1687 [] Unter den von der Bücherkommission im Zuge der Säkularisation 18021803 ausgewählten Freisinger Exemplaren jedoch abgängig Von Boll verschwiegen wurde aber als zwischenzeitlicher Eigentümer F v Paula Hoheneicher, seit 1780 letzter Archivar des Hochstifts Freising und dann fürstbischöflicher Hofkammerrat, dem die Hs in dieser Funktion offenbar anvertraut wurde Er selbst berichtet über "diesen merkwürdigen und, wenn ich mich nicht sehr irre, bisher ganz unbekannten, einzigen Codex", ja stellt ihn "bereitwilligst" der Forschung zur Verfügung Nicht verheimlicht werden soll das pikante Detail seiner Biographie, daß er seit 1827 mit der Katalogisierung der Codices bavarici dieses Hauses beauftragt war Noch zu Lebzeiten Hoheneichers durch Kauf erworben von der Fabrikantenfamilie Maffei, zuletzt: Reichsrath Hugo Ritter und Edler von Maffei schenkte sie im Februar 1899 S K Hoheit dem Prinzregenten für die Hof- und Staatsbibliothek Frühere Signatur Cim 321 e Freising, Dombibliothek - Altsignatur: Cim 321 e - Literatur: E D[ümmler], in: Neues Archiv 25 (1900), S 232f mit falscher Signatur "n 6535" Brunhölzl, S 525-527 -
