Description
  • Summary:
Manuscript 112 contains a compilation of fifteen short texts by Augustine of Hippo (354 - 430). The texts were copied by a lay called brother Henricus, active at Ter Doest Abbey. The manuscript dates from the end of the thirteenth century. Each new text is introduced by an initial, which is decorated in red and blue with pen. The decorations continue in a symmetrical pattern up into the margins. The manuscript is bound in a seventeenth-century binding of the 'Campmans' type. [Summary by Sarah Vanroye]
