Description
  • An early example of a Book of Hours produced in Bruges for the English market. The Calendar lists Sts Donatian, Judoc, Basil and Eligius and the Litany includes 'S. Gheertrudis'. A London or Essex provenance is suggested by the memoria of St Ethelburga added in the early 15th century (16v). The miniatures were painted by the Master of the Beaufort Saints.
