    Large colour initials for each triumph.

    Part of the Spencer library acquired by Enriqueta Rylands in 1892 from John Poyntz Spencer (1835-1910), 5th Earl Spencer for The John Rylands Library

    The Rerum vulgarium fragmenta and Triumphi with the Life of Petrarch attributed to Antonio da Tempo, though probably the work of Pier Candido Decembrio. Printed in Rome by Georg Lauer, dated 1471.

    From the library of the Duke of Cassano, of Naples [i.e. Luigi Cassano Serra (1747-1825), 4th Duke of Cassano, Marquess of Rivadebro], purchased by Spencer in 1820. See Dibdin, Bib. Spenc., v.7, p.82.

    Oval leather label on front paste-down: E Bibliotheca Spenceriana; from the collection of George John, 2nd Earl Spencer (1758-1834).

    The Rerum vulgarium fragmenta and Triumphi with the Life of Petrarch by Antonio da Tempo.

    According to Bod-inc, the Vita di Petrarca, generally attributed to Antonio da Tempo, is probably the work of Pier Candido Decembrio.

    Petrarch’s poems in roman type, printed with one verse per line, and prose texts; no printed numbering.
