Description
  • Form:
    1 volume, 60 leaves : pen-flourished initial ; 287x203 mm
    Content:
Contains: (ff. 1r-43r) Cosmographia / Aethicus Ister (Virgil of Salzburg?). - (ff. 44r-47v) Curiositates urbis Romae regionum XIIII. - (ff. 48v-60v) Apocalypse (Revelationes) / Pseudo-Methodius of Olympus.
    Note:
    Binding: Post-medieval binding.
Textual: (ff. 1r-43r) Aethicus Ister is probably a fictitious traveller/author. In the text, (Pseudo-)Jerome claims to be the translator of Ister's work. It is currently thought that Virgil of Salzburg is the true author of the text. - (ff. 44r-47v) Contains short remarks on the first to the 14th king of Rome. The entrance on the fifth king is empty.
