Englische Version: The humanist Albrecht von Eyb (1420-1475), a
native of the old Franconian aristocracy and canon of Eichstätt
and Bamberg, is considered the founder of this literary genre with
his "Ehebüchlein". The work, first printed in 1472, speaks of love
and chastity, child rearing and all sorts of ups and downs in
everyday married life and became a favourite book of the late 15th
and early 16th centuries. Cgm 5185 is a paper manuscript owned by
Hartmann Schedel (see also Cgm 810 and 2 Inc.c.a. 2921) and
contains verse adaptations from the "Ehebüchlein" as well as the
"Spiegel der Sitten" also by Eyb. There are 24 poems with 30 verses
each on the following topics: Virtue (leaf 2r); Planets and planets
in astrology (leaf 2v-6v); Signs of the zodiac with regimina (leaf
7v-14v); Happiness (leaf 15v-16v); Happiness (leaf 16r-v); Death
(leaf 17r-v); Sin (leaf 18va); The four elements (leaf 18vb). The
manuscript that dates from the 4th quarter of the 15th century is
provided with 26 coloured pen drawings, possibly copies of wall
paintings from the canon's court of Albrecht von Eyb and is of
North Bavarian-Eastern Franconian origin. It was originally part of
Clm 351 and was removed from this corpus in 1867. // Autor: Peter

Der aus altem fränkischen Adel stammende Humanist Albrecht von Eyb
(1420-1475), Domherr zu Eichstätt und Bamberg, gilt mit seinem
"Ehebüchlein" als Begründer dieser Literaturgattung. Das 1472
erstmals gedruckte Werk spricht von Liebe und Keuschheit, über
Kindererziehung sowie allerlei Höhen und Tiefen des Ehealltags und
wurde zu einem Lieblingsbuch des ausgehenden 15. und beginnenden
16. Jahrhunderts. Cgm 5185 ist eine Papierhandschrift aus dem
Besitz Hartmann Schedels (s.a. Cgm 810 und 2 Inc.c.a. 2921) und
enthält Versbearbeitungen aus dem "Ehebüchlein" sowie dem
ebenfalls von Eyb stammenden "Spiegel der Sitten". Es sind 24
Gedichte mit je 30 Versen zu folgenden Themen: Die Tugend (Bl. 2r);
Planeten und Planetenkinder (Bl. 2v-6v); Tierkreiszeichen mit
Regimina (Bl. 7v-14v); Das Glück (Bl. 15v-16v); Das menschliche
Elend (Bl. 16r-v); Der Tod (Bl. 17r-v); Die Sünde (Bl. 18va); Die
vier Elemente (Bl. 18vb). Die aus dem 4. Viertel des 15.
Jahrhunderts stammende Handschrift ist mit 26 kolorierten
Federzeichnungen, möglicherweise Kopien von Wandgemälden aus dem
Domherrenhof Albrechts von Eyb, versehen und ist
nordbairisch-ostfränkischer Herkunft. Sie war ursprünglich Teil
von Clm 351 und wurde 1867 aus diesem Corpus herausgelöst. //
