    Autograph letter, signed, describing French naval operations. La Luzerne begins the letter with congratulating Destouches on his capture of the British ship HMS Romulus in the Chesapeake Bay. Much of the letter is written in a numerical cipher, and is translated in another hand, in French. Title supplied by cataloger.
