    In his preface, Daniello acknowledges his debt to Trifon Gabrielle, but refutes the allegation that the commentary was written by Gabrielle.

    Colophon reads: In Vinegia. Nelle case di Giouanniantonio de Nicolini da Sabio. Ne gli anni del nostro Signore M D XLI. Del mese di Marzo.

    Petrarch’s poems and commentary in italic type; printed numbering; Petrarch’s poems printed with one verse per line on left and right, followed by commentary printed next to it in the same line and then distributed across the page beneath them, and prose texts.

    Five sonnets addressed to Petrarch are added.
