Description
  • This manuscript contains a copy of the four books of the Dialogi (Dialogues) written in 593-594 by Pope Gregory I (b. c. 540, d. 604), commonly known as St Gregory the Great. The Dialogues discuss the miracles and prophecies of holy men in 6th-century Italy, especially those of Benedict of Nursia, to whom the second book is entirely dedicated, and were particularly popular among monastic audiences.
