Historical notes collected by Henri Joseph Comman, schoolmaster in
Courgenay. The exact title is Recueil de notes historiques sur le
Pays de Pourrentruy ou Evêché de Bâle. According to the preface,
H.J. Comman collected these notes with the intention of
transmitting an objective history of the region and mitigating the
lack of documentation on this topic. Until 1782 the history is very
detailed.
