Summary: CCCC MS 333, dating to the last quarter of the fourteenth century, contains a number of treatises dealing with the controversy over the poverty of Christ and the Church in the first half of the fourteenth century, and was copied more or less contemporaneously with that debate. Texts in this volume include Berengarius Fredoli (d. 1323), Tractatus de excommunicatione, Bonagratia of Bergamo (c. 1265-1340), Casus papales et episcopales cum explanatione praedicatorum, Roger Conway OFM (d. 1360), Defensio religionis mendicantium (De confessionibus contra Armachanum) and Herman of Saxony (or Topelstein) (fl. c. 1330-40), Casus abstracti a iure, a treatise on confession. The provenance of this manuscript is unknown.
