This Einsiedeln codex contains the letter of Alexander to
Aristotle, the life of Charlemagne by Einhard, and an account by
Eberwinus of the life of the hermit Simeon of Trier. This
manuscript, which was written during the first third of the 10th
century and the second half of the 11th century, could have been
produced in St. Gallen, or else in western or southern Germany.
