    Biographical Note:
    The 8th Massachusetts regiment was created on Nov. 1, 1776 and served until it was disbanded on June 12, 1783. The regiment was commanded by Colonel Michael Jackson an was attached to Ebenezer Learned Brigade, 4th Massachusetts Brigade, and 2nd Massachusetts Brigade.
