  • This 12th-century manuscript contains the Gospel of Luke with interlinear and marginal Gloss. It was probably produced in France (ex. info Michael Gullick), but was in England by the first half of the 16th century. Contents:ff. 1v-156v: The Gospel of Luke with marginal and interlinear Gloss, beginning with a prologue: ‘Plures fuisse qui evangelia scripserunt, et Lucas evangelista testatur’. [f. 1r is empty (except for a later addition)].Decoration:Large initials in red, blue or green, some with minor penwork decoration in blue or red. Small initials in blue or red. A marginal drawing of a human head on f. 155v (added by Richard Newport).
