Englische Version: On June 11, 2012, the Bavarian State Library
announced the spectacular discovery of 29 sermons on the psalms by
Origen, or Origenes, of Alexandria (184 or 185-253 or 254). This
discovery occurred in the course of the cataloging work on Greek
manuscripts from the library of Johann Jakob Fugger. Previously,
only nine of Origen's homilies were known, and only in the Latin
translation of Rufinus (340/345-410): five on Psalm 36, two on
Psalm 37, and two more on Psalm 38. Thanks to the identification of
the contents of Codex graecus 314, a parchment manuscript of 371
leaves copied in the first half of the 12th century, four homilies
on Psalm 36 now are available in the original Greek as well. In
addition, another 25 hitherto unknown homilies were newly
discovered: on Psalm 15 (two homilies), Psalm 67 (two homilies),
Psalm 73 (three homilies), Psalms 74, 75 and 76 (four homilies),
Psalm 77 (nine homilies), Psalm 80 (two homilies), and Psalm 81.
The discovery of 2012 was the most important find since 1941, when
excerpts from works of Origen and two previously unknown plants

Am 11. Juni 2012 gab die Bayerische Staatsbibliothek den
spektakulären Fund von 29 griechischen Predigten über die Psalmen
des Origenes von Alexandria (184 oder 185-253 oder 254) bekannt.
Die Entdeckung wurde im Zuge der Katalogisierung griechischer
Handschriften aus der Bibliothek des Johann Jakob Fugger gemacht.
Bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt waren überhaupt nur neun der Origenes
Predigten bekannt, alle in der lateinischen Übersetzung des
Rufinus (340/345-410): fünf über Psalm 36, zwei über Psalm 37
und zwei weitere über Psalm 38. Nach der Identifizierung des
Inhalts der 371 Blätter umfassenden Pergamenthandschrift 'Codex
graecus 314' aus der ersten Hälfte des 12. Jahrhunderts sind nun
auch vier der Homilien über Psalm 36 in der griechischen
Originalsprache verfügbar. Darüber hinaus wurden weitere 25
bisher unbekannte Predigten neu entdeckt: je zwei Predigten über
Psalm 15 und Psalm 67, drei Predigten über Psalm 73, je eine
Predigt über die Psalmen 74 und 75, vier Predigten über Psalm 76,
neun Predigten über Psalm 77, zwei Predigten über Psalm 80 sowie
eine über Psalm 81. Die Entdeckung von 2012 ist der wichtigste
Fund seit 1941, als Auszüge aus Werken des Origenes und zwei
bisher unbekannte Pflanzen in den Tura Papyri identifiziert werden
