- This manuscript was made in the city of Ankara and completed near
the end of Mauahham in 694 AH (10-20 Dec. 1294 CE) by Muḥammad
ibn Aḥmad ibn Mīkā’īl al-Qūnawī (from Konya). It is the
oldest recorded copy of Kitāb al-Masā’il fī al-ṭibb
lil-muta’allimīn (The Questions on Medicine for Beginners) by
Ḥunayn ibn Isḥāq al-’Ibādī (d. 260 AH/873 CE or 264 AH/877
CE), an influential introduction to medicine written in a question
and answer format.
