Description
  • Summary: CCCC MS 29 is an early thirteenth-century manuscript containing Peter of Poitiers (d. 1205), Genealogia historiarum(Compendium historiae in genealogia Christi) (also in CCCC MSS 83 and 437), and Petrus Comestor (d. c. 1187), Historia scholastica. The manuscript contains a number of illustrations, including a seven-branched candlestick and a seraph, with accompanying allegorical interpretations. It also features decorative initials containing grotesques.
