- Description
-
- Dated 1455. Unsigned. The scribe is identifiable as Ser Giovanni da Stia, a Florentine notary who copied many dated manuscripts between about 1429 and 1465 but rarely signed them. From the style of his script he appears to have been taught or influenced by Antonio de Mario, who was also a notary and he also had connections with Vespasiano da Bisticci. His manuscripts are generally very simply decorated, in the best humanistic tradition.
