Fragment of an evangeliary written around 800. It contains the
pericopes necessary for the entire liturgical year. The surviving
parts begin with the pericope for Septuagesima Sunday and suggest
that, in addition to Sundays and holidays, gospels were chosen for
every Wednesday and Friday, and during Lent - as in the Missale
Romanum - for every day of the week. The final part contains the
gospels for the votive Mass, however only four pericopes have
survived. The script indicates a scriptorium in Raetia Curiensis as
place of origin.
