    Contemporary[?] parchment over boards; sewing supports visible at front and rear hinges; head and tail band stitches visible through cover; direct-lettered MS across head of spine: Petrarca.

    Donated to the The University of Manchester by Hélène Louise Bullock, widow of Walter L. Bullock, Serena Professor of Italian, in 1944.
