Summary: CCCC MS 186 contains thirteenth-century copies of three works of William de Montibus (d. 1213), Distinctiones theologicae, Versarius and Numerale. William de Montibus' works of pastoral theology that emphasised practical care of souls over dogma were extremely influential in late medieval and early modern theology. There are no clues as to the provenance of this manuscript.
